Located just a few minutes south of the Chattahoochee River in Sandy Springs, Pontoon Brewing is a dude haven. The brewery is a neighborhood happy hour hotspot equipped with expertly crafted brews that pack a serious punch. The “Pontoon Lifestyle” is the idea of escaping the daily stresses and relaxing on a pontoon boat. For those unfamiliar, a Pontoon boat is commonly known as a slow-moving party platform; it can’t go far and can’t go fast so you might as well drink. While the brewery itself doesn’t serve food, visitors are welcome to bring outside food in with them.
Beer Highlight: Galaxy Drifter American IPA
Galaxy Drifter is an out-of-this world American IPA that sits on the fence between hop-forward and balanced. This radical, crisp, clean and light bodied brew will blow your mind. Galaxy Drifters succulent tropical and citrus notes pair well with the savory flavors.
Hammocks Trading Co.
Like Pontoon Brewing, Hammocks Trading Co. is designed to be the kind of place where locals gather and unwind to enjoy fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere. Size matters at Hammocks and their famous grouper sandwich is greasy, deep-fried dude food. For an extra spicy kick, pair the sandwich with a side of jalapeno hushpuppies or cornbread.
