Heritage Sandy Springs Farmers Market, 220 Mt. Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs

This is truly a family-friendly farmer’s market complete with children’s entertainment, live music and lots of fresh food, including locally-produced and specialty goods. This farmers market runs Saturdays until December. Not only are kids welcome, but dogs are too!

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, 1978 Island Ford Parkway, Sandy Springs

Get outside with your whole family! Come to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area in Sandy Springs to get some fresh air and sunshine. Why not float down the river with the kids? Grant Park Summer Shade Festival, Grant Park, 800 Cherokee Ave SE, Atlanta

The Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is one of the few reasons to brave traffic and head downtown. This annual tradition will welcome music and art lovers to Atlanta’s oldest park for its 16th year on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26, 2018. The two-day, fun-filled festival will feature an impressive lineup of live music in addition to an expansive artist market. Make sure to visit the Kids Zone and taste the spectacular selection of local food trucks too!
