Giving back: Board Member, Dunwoody Nature Center

Motivator: Currently I’m hooked on the author Emily Ley for reminders of daily gratitude and simplicity! Also, I love a good walk through Dunwoody Nature Center to recharge. Hanging with my kids, Brian and Caroline is also always good motivation.

Recharging” The Mill Glen Tennis courts – girl time with my favorite ladies of my neighborhood and community.

Favorite lunch: To one of my 3 faves in Dunwoody – Novo Cucina, Villarge Burger, or El Azteca.

Star Teacher

Giving back: Deacon, part of the Children’s Closet committee and VBS volunteer at Saint Luke’s Presbyterian Church, Assistant Swim Mom this summer for the Wynterhall Swim Team, Lead Swim Mom Summer 2019, Room Mom Austin Elementary, Pinewood Derby Chairs (with my husband) for Cub Scouts Pack 494.

Motivator: My children, Wells and Cooper, and their positive outlook on life.

Recharging: I go to Dunwoody Baptist Fitness Center -shout out to the 6 am crew and our amazing instructor Tassie!

Favorite lunch: Novo Cucina or Vintage Pizza in Dunwoody and Hearth Pizza in Sandy Springs.

The Leader

Giving back: Having been in the not-for-profit sector for 10+ years I have learned that the best way I can give back is though my love of governance, strategic planning and organization. 

Motivator: Motivation comes from knowing that the work I do every day makes a difference in people’s lives. Whether it is connecting a sales representative with potential new clients or assisting a CEO in advocating for infrastructure, the work of the Chamber touches each sector of business.

Recharging:Music is my happy place. I love to drive with the windows down, volume up.

Favorite Lunch: Farm Burger or McKendrick’s

The Doctor

Giving back:I enjoy community outreach with my church and providing info at health fairs nearby.

Motivator:I find it in my family and in my work. As a dermatologist, patient satisfaction is always a top goal which motivates me to be thorough, efficient, informative and leave my patients with the best experience possible

Recharging: Spending time with family and friends. Getting that warm, positive energy in a relaxing environment with people that I care about the most is very energizing for me.

Favorite lunch: Taqueri Tsunami or a salad from Zaxby’s

Giving back: In my spare time I like to go to animal shelters and help walk dogs. All of my pets are from a shelter. 

Motivator: Music has had a huge impact on my life – whenever I’m in need of a pick me up I always crank up the volume to a good song; One of my favorite’s is Dancing in a Room by EZI 

Recharging: Land of a Thousand Hills coffee shop to write or read a good book.

Favorite lunch: Brezza Cucina at Ponce City Market, some of the best pizza in the city.

Kristin Tinsley, Dental Assistant at Quest Orthodontics

Giving back: Rivers Alive. This is an organization that cleans Georgia’s waterways by visiting rivers, streams and lakes by picking up litter to promote keeping a clean environment. 

Motivator: I am always wanting to self-improve. Whenever I am feeling discouraged I remind myself to use the situation as a learning experience for the future. 

Recharging: I enjoy going to Piedmont Park on Sundays to play on my soccer league. 

Favorite lunch? O-Ku, a sushi spot in West Midtown.
