Janis Sundquist’s tools of the trade are her measuring tape, color deck and phone. “I’m taking photos constantly and turn to Pinterest too for inspiration.” With a degree from American Intercontinental University in Atlanta and time abroad in London and studying interior design and architecture at Loyola Rome center and Cite University in Paris, she brings a European sensibility to her projects here in Sandy Springs and Dunwoody where she has been in business for 30 years. Her work has been featured in the VIP room at the High Museum, at Spirits Bar at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport and in homes across the globe.
Janis frequents ADAC, AmericasMart Atlanta and Underfoot Design for Carpet. Her goal? To get the best quality and the very best price for her clients after listening carefully to their needs.
For clients who wanted a refresh and update for their great room, Janis traded the chunky furniture for sleek, straight lines which quickly brought the room into focus.
The home’s master bathroom had interesting architectural features but didn’t pop until she changed the color palate and watched the paint transform the luxe space. “I go to first to color, furniture then lighting to update a space.”
She continues to stay on top of trends and tools, keeping her eyes open wide for inspiration every day.
