The MJCCA offers more than 85 group fitness classes seven days a week, morning to evening, that include terrific music, passionate fitness instructors, and exhilarating workouts. Group exercise classes feature Les Mills® group fitness-to-music, indoor cycling, Zumba, yoga, Fitline Functional Fitness, Krav Maga combative self-defense classes, and much more. From Stott® Pilates, and state-of-the-art cardio and strength-training equipment, to water fitness classes, the opportunities to get in better shape, and have fun doing so, are endless.
Unlike a traditional fitness facility, MJCCA’s Zaban Park provides a unique setting, that spans more than 50 acres. For those who prefer getting fit outdoors, the MJCCA offers a mile-long and half-mile course. Jogging, running, and walking briskly are all ways to improve cardiovascular health. Taking daily walks may be just the motivation you need to lace up your walking shoes. Involving your entire family is also a terrific way to make fitness a priority, and spend quality time together.
If balancing mind and body through yoga is desired, the backdrop of Zaban Park’s sparkling, tranquil lake, makes it a one-of-a-kind setting for yoga and meditation.
Are you considering a personal trainer to get you started? The MJCCA has 14 experienced and encouraging trainers on staff, and offers personal training to youth and adults. Trainers will work with you, one on one, to assess your current fitness level, help set realistic goals, and create a personalized workout plan. From treadmills, ellipticals, Stairmasters, recumbent and upright bikes, a free-weights area, and rehabilitative services, getting fit has never been so enticing.
With autumn nipping at our heels, the MJCCA is gearing up for its 1st Annual Biketoberfest Celebration, starting Sunday, October 1, and continuing throughout the month. Biketoberfest is packed with exciting, heart-pumping, pedal-to-the-metal workouts that are designed to be super fun and highly effective.
One of the MJCCA’s popular fitness events for members and the community is its annual Turbo Turkey Workout on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 8:30 – 10 a.m. It is an intense, 90-minute interval workout class that will get your body pumping, and is guaranteed to help combat holiday splurging. There is no cost to participate.
